How long does a Grammar Work session take?
We would recommend that you take 15-20 minutes a day to deliver your grammar session.
Should I use Grammar Works as part of my English lesson?
This is down to teacher discretion and preference. We have seen the program be used really successfully as starters to English lessons but equally we have also seen teachers embed the learning within the body of the lesson.
How does Grammar Works support the long-term memory?
Research around long-term memory suggests that you must keep revisiting, and using, a skill before you can retrieve it without any cognitive load. Therefore, Grammar Works has been designed to be a progressive scheme which is built on yearly. Each year, children revisit prior learning before extending and deepening their knowledge. Each session, children also get the chance to apply their learning either orally or through a written task.
